The 2021-2022 edition of the Robert S. McNamara research fellowship program is currently ongoing. The program is open to fellows willing to embark on an 8-month research fellowship program in a selected field of study. The program which is hosted in Washington DC, USA Is expected to welcome some of the best scholars from around the world.

McNamara research fellowship program is strictly for doctoral students with interest in fields such as Data Science, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Statistics, and a few other career areas (see link below).
The 8 months program is hosted by the World Bank and it is strictly for Ph.D. students whose countries are regarded as World Bank Group members. All doctoral students of WBG members who make an advancement in their career are welcome to apply. The program covers the tuition of selected candidates as well as providing stipends to the tune of $42,750 (not including tax).

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, you are expected to meet the following criteria;
- Must be a citizen of WBG member country
- Must have completed your master’s program and currently pursuing and intending to pursue a PhD program in Economics or related subjects
- Must not be more than 30 years old by June 30th of the year the fellowship starts
- Be willing to relocate to the US for the program
