The Simon Lee Fully Funded Foundation Scholarship
The Simon Lee Foundation Scholarship aims to help international and local students studying ECU Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance- Instrumental to study all facets of historical keyboard performance.
Whilst it is envisioned that the successful candidate would come from a background in modern piano, she/he would be required to display a flair for, and/or a keen interest in, historically informed performance practice. The Simon Lee Scholar will study under the guidance of an existing core team of experts and will have access to national and international Visiting Artists of the highest calibre. The scholarship is four years in duration, with each year being worth $20,000 ($80,000). A further $20,000 will be allocated in the final two years, to enable travel to study European keyboard.
